The UCY Tennis Championship (Men & Women) is one of the Internal Championships that are held yearly at UCY Campus. Eligible to participate and free of charge are: alumni, students and staff (academic & administrative). The Championship is held between October and April (1 tournament/semester). Registration opens in the first week of September/January and closes at the end of the month. The winners are honored with an athletic award at the UCY Annual Athletics Ceremony. International regulations apply to all championships and these are completed with special regulations, which are stricter in discipline matters, since our philosophy is that Sports at the University of Cyprus should be characterized by the Olympic spirit. Games are being officiated by official referees from the respective sports federations. The UCY Sports Council retains full supervision and control of all procedures regarding organizing the championships. It expects all athletes to compete in all earnest, within the framework of the University's philosophy as well as displaying sportsmanship, contributing thus to the growth of sports involvement among the members of the University of Cyprus community.
