Instructor: Nikolas Dietis, Assistant Professor | Scientists in the medical and biomedical fields make everyday decisions that should be informed by the best quality evidence available. In doing so, they need knowledge & skills to determine the validity, quality, meaning and applicability of the available evidence. This seminar intents for participants to aquire and develop the required knowledge & skills. It will be comprised of a series of short online lectures on the basic principles and examples of application. It will present techniques and strategies for searching, validating, critically appraise the importance of evidence found. The seminar's contents are referencing relevant course content from respected Universities around the world. The seminar is relevant to graduates (medicine, health & life sciences), healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, pharmacists, psychologists, dentists), biomed scientists (biologists, geneticists, biotechnologists, pharmacologists), health-regulation agents and epidemiologists, teachers and academics.
